The Miami Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital provides a unique combination of advanced technical competence in a patient-oriented environment. Since the 1950’s when the Hospital inaugurated the first Cobalt-60 Cancer Treatment Center in the Southeastern United States, patients have come to rely on us for cancer therapy excellence. The Center’s multidisciplinary cancer program has consistently excelled by focusing on the needs of its patients. Providing clinical skills and technology, required for optimum patient care, the Miami Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital offers extensive education, special programs, surgical services, support services and rehabilitative programs to meet patients’ needs before, during and after treatment.
Oncology Services Team
Staffed by a team of highly trained nurses, therapists, technicians, affiliated physicians and various departments the Miami Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital provides the most advanced cancer treatments in an environment that is both state-of-the-art and compassionate.
The Center’s multi-talented oncology advisory team has made strides to expand and improve its cancer services by building relationships with the American Cancer Society and Cancer Information Services sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Other cancer program opportunities identified by the advisory team include support programs, enhanced nutrition services and the development of a comprehensive palliative care program.
The Miami Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital is committed to provide a broad spectrum of state-of-the-art cancer services to its patients.
